HOW DO I ENTER MYSELF/MY GROUP INTO THE PARADE?
Any individual or group may enter the parade. All entries should relate to the theme of the parade. Participants should carry a banner, sign or the like for identification by media and judges. To enter, print the entry form and mail it in. Parade entry forms are also available at the Front Desk at City Hall, 130 East 1st Street, Downtown Tifton. The deadline for entry into the parade is November 18th.

IS THERE A FEE TO BE IN THE PARADE?
Yes, $40 for each entry. For automobile clubs, motorcycle groups and similar entries, the $40 fee entitles the entrant to five (5) vehicles. Additional vehicles are $5 each.

WHAT IS A SPONSORED FLOAT?
A specified number of floats are set aside each year as Sponsored Floats. These floats are professionally decorated and are available for rent. Any parade entrant may choose a Sponsored Float to represent their group or business.

WHAT IS THE FEE FOR A SPONSORED FLOAT?
The fee for Sponsored Floats is $500 - this includes the decorated float, vehicle and licensed driver. Signs or Banners must be provided by the Entrant.

TO WHOM DO I MAKE MY ENTRY CHECK PAYABLE?
Please make check or money order payable to Tifton Tomorrow, Inc. Attention: Lequrica Gaskins

WHAT ABOUT STAGING FOR THE PARADE FLOATS? -and- HOW CAN MY ENTRY BE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE PARADE?
All Parade entries must first STOP at the Check-In Station at the Victorian Village on 2nd Street for number assignment and to be included in judging and media commentary. The Check-In Station opens at noon on Saturday. Numbers will not be pre-assigned - each entry will be lined up on a first-come, first-served basis.

DO I PROVIDE A VEHICLE AND DRIVER TO PULL MY GROUP'S FLOAT?
Only sponsored floats are provided a truck and driver. All other entries must provide their own vehicle and licensed driver.

MAY OUR GROUP GIVE OUT CANDY?
Yes, candy may be given to patrons during the parade. However, candy must be handed out by individuals walking the parade route. Candy may not be thrown from floats, cars or other entry vehicles. Thrown candy causes dangerous situations as children run to collect candy off the street. Drivers of large trucks and vehicle have difficulty seeing children dash around the vehicles. Please protect the safety of our children and respect this regulation by handing out candy to the crowds.

CAN MY ENTRY INCLUDE HORSES OR OTHER ANIMALS?
Yes. However, it is the responsibility of the patrons owning or using any animal to provide their own clean-up crew.

WHAT IF IT RAINS?
The parade and Hometown Holiday Celebration will take place rain or shine. In the event of an unforseen tragedy or dangerous situation, the parade will be cancelled.

WILL DOWNTOWN BUSINESSES BE OPEN?
Yes! Many businesses will be open during the Saturday festivities. Encourage your favorite stores to be open for holiday shopping. Check individual stores for schedules.

WILL THE PARADE BE TELEVISED?
Yes! The City Government Channel (CityNet 9 and MediaCom 95) and The Fun Channel will televise the parade for a time following the celebration. WTIF Radio and The Fun Channel will have live remotes during the parade. Check these channels for broadcasting schedules.
